Nippon Production offers dependable and meticulous services encompassing research and coordinating interviews for international reporting and filming projects.
How we work
01
Step 1Overview
Extensive consultations with the client and local team will be conducted to address the schedule, shooting theme, location, local requirements, and potential challenges. Leveraging our expansive global network spanning over 100 countries, Nippon Production organizes seasoned coordinators, field producers, location managers, technical personnel, and translators proficient in both Japanese and English. Furthermore, a dedicated production manager and a full-time Nippon Production staff member fluent in Japanese, is assigned to each project, offering essential backup support in case of emergencies.
02
Step 2Needs & Budget
After determining the scope of the production and establishing connections with local staff, our next step involves developing a cost-effective plan. Prior to the shoot, we engage with the client to understand their budget constraints and discuss feasible approaches. Our aim is to secure a local producer proficient in Japanese whenever possible. However, in regions where finding someone with both Japanese language skills and production expertise proves challenging, we may propose alternatives such as engaging a Japanese translator paired with a seasoned English speaking professional. This adaptive approach ensures effective communication and execution of the project.
03
Step 3Planning & Permit
Usually, a pre-production meeting is scheduled ahead of the shoot to ensure alignment among clients. During this session, the production manager conducts a thorough review of the budget and addresses any last-minute adjustments. Post-shoot, our process involves meticulous fact-checking, the dissemination of supplementary information, and ongoing communication with local collaborators and distributors. This comprehensive approach aims to verify the accuracy of content, provide necessary updates, and confirm that all aspects of the project are progressing as intended.
04
Step 4Filming
A pre-production meeting is typically coordinated prior to the shoot to ensure alignment among clients. During this session, the production manager conducts a thorough review of the budget and addresses any last-minute changes. Subsequent to the shoot, our process involves rigorous fact-checking, the dissemination of additional information, and ongoing communication with local collaborators and distributors to ensure smooth progress and adherence to the intended course of action.
05
Step 5Post Photography Support & Budget Coordination
Upon project completion, our procedures involve conducting a meticulous fact-check, gathering supplementary information, and, if required, producing additional footage. Furthermore, we undertake essential administrative tasks and conduct final checks to ensure the accurate execution of the budget.
